Bradford Ladera

Bradford Ladera is returning for his sixth summer with Aim High, and his first as a Site Director. Bradford grew up in San Francisco, and received his B.A. in Asian American Studies from UC Davis and his M.A. in Education from University of Southern California. During the school year, you can find Bradford teaching 7th and 8th grade at Aptos Middle School and playing clash royale.

In middle school, I had thick lenses for my glasses, especially as a younger middle schooler.

Josette Neal-De-Stanton 

Josette Neal-De-Stanton is returning for her second summer at Aim High, and her first as a Site Director. Josette grew up in Oakland, and received her B.A and M.A in Family and Consumer Sciences from San Francisco State University. During the school year, you can find Josette teaching science, coaching science teachers, and planning curriculum at ARISE High School in Fruitvale, Oakland, and singing, rapping, and making beats.

In middle school, I was a nerdy athlete that got along with everyone!

 Nate Parish

Nate Parish is returning for his third summer with Aim High, and his first as a Site Director. Nate grew up in San Francisco and received a B.A. in Biology from Colorado College and a M.A. in Education from University of the Pacific. During the school year, you can find Nate teaching 6th grade math and science at Gateway Middle School and rock climbing.

In middle school, I loved to play soccer and explore nature.

Jesús Alfredo Galindo

Jesús Alfredo Galindo is returning for his fourth year with Aim High, and his second as a Site Director. Jesús grew up in Compton, CA  and received a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and a M.A. in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University. During the school year, you can find Jesús at Lincoln Elementary School where he his a 3rd grade bilingual teacher and carrying a book with him wherever he goes.

In middle school, I found my passion for heavy metal. My favorite metal band is Metallica, and I listen to their songs whenever I go for a run.

Laney Corda

Laney Corda is returning for her sixth summer with Aim High, and her fifth as a Site Director. Laney was born in North Haven, Connecticut and received a degree in International Area Studies at Saint Mary’s College of California. During the school year, you can find Laney teaching 6th Grade at James Lick Middle School and making fantastic lasagna.

In middle school, I wrapped myself up in books, music, and studying.

Brian McGovern

Brian McGovern is returning for his fifth summer with Aim High, and his first as a Site Director. Brian grew up in San Francisco and received his B.A. in Sociology from Gonzaga University. During the school year, you can find Brian teaching 7th and 8th grade at Mission Dolores Academy and skiing.

In middle school, I loved my teachers and my favorite subject was math!

Carl Siegel

An Aim High veteran, Carl Siegel is returning for his eleventh summer at Aim High, and fifth as a Site Director. Carl was born in San Francisco and received various teaching credentials from San Francisco State University and his M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administrative Credential from the University of the Pacific. During the school year, you will find Carl teaching 6th grade dual-immersion science and history at Everett Middle School.

In middle school, I was starting left wing for the James Lick soccer team that went 7-0 regular season, beat Hoover in the playoffs and lost 1-0 to Horace Mann in the city championship.

Anna Roberds

Anna Roberds is returning for her second summer with Aim High, and her first as a Site Director. Anna grew up in Kirkland, WA and received a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Seattle University and a M.A. in Teaching from Stanford University. During the school year, you can find Anna teaching math at MLK Middle School and climbing one major mountain every year.

In middle school, I played a lot of sports and also loved to play active games. Once I got a concussion from playing a competitive game of capture the flag! Yikes!

Tasha Yee

Tasha Yee is returning for her tenth summer with Aim High, and her fifth as a Site Director. Tasha grew up in the Bay Area and received a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Dominican University. During the school year, you can find Tasha teaching science, working as an after-school program coordinator and taking zumba classes.

In middle school, I explored fun classes like wood shop, played the flute, and grew from an awkward preteen into a confident teenager.

Stan Voong

Stan Voong is returning for his fifth summer with Aim High, and third as a Site Director. A San Francisco native, Stan received his degree in mathematics from San Francisco State University. During the school year, you can find Stan teaching math at Academy of Arts and Sciences.

In middle school, I was a terror.

Gaela Peters

Gaela Peters is returning for her eighth summer with Aim High, and sixth as a Site Director. Gaela grew up in San Francisco and received her Master of Education from the University of Virginia. During the school year, you can find Gaela working as the school counselor at Balboa High School, exploring and road-tripping through California and crafting.

In middle school, I was awkward and, yet, comfortable with it. When I moved from San Francisco to New Jersey, I became far more insecure and aware of my differences. Now, I just embrace them!

Kelly Lee

Kelly Lee is returning for his ninth summer with Aim High, and his second as a Site Director. Kelly was born in San Francisco and received a degree in American Studies from Wesleyan University. During the the school year, you can find Kelly teaching sixth grade language arts and ancient civilizations at the East Bay School for Boys.

In middle school, I was a musical theater star. Playing the lead in Footloose in 8th Grade was the highlight of my childhood and adult life.

Jessie Escobar

Jessie Escobar is returning for his tenth summer with Aim High, and his fifth as a Site Director. Jessie is both a San Francisco native and an Aim High graduate. He received a B.A. in Sociology from San Francisco State University. During the school year, you can find Jessie keeping students happy and healthy by working as the Community Health Outreach Worker for Wellness Initiative at Thurgood Marshall High School.

In middle school, I discovered an appreciation for art.

Miguel Castro

Miguel Castro is returning for his fifth summer with Aim High, and his second as a Site Director. Miguel grew up in Alameda and received his B.A. in Comparative Politics from Columbia University and his teaching credential from Saint Mary’s College of California. He is pursuing an M.A. in International Education from University of San Francisco. During the school year, you can find Miguel teaching English and coaching Track & Field at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill and dancing salsa and bachata.

In middle school, I was awkward, but found myself very involved in sports, leadership and a non profit that worked to empower youth in my community.

Michelle Cody

Michelle Cody is returning for her 16th summer with Aim High, and third as a Site Director. A San Francisco native and Aim High graduate, she received her M.A. in Urban Education and Social Justice from the University of San Francisco. During the school year, you can find Michelle teaching sixth grade math and supporting student government at Willie Brown Academy.

In middle school, I was super outgoing and a little shy. I played sports and was a huge nerd. I loved (and still love) learning.
