All of us here at Aim High hope that you and your loved ones are well. These are extraordinary times and we are all eagerly looking forward to returning to a more normal rhythm. When Governor Newsom first announced the order on March 16, we had every intention of operating Aim High at 18 locations across Northern California.

It is therefore with great sadness that we have decided we cannot safely operate a traditional five-week summer program as planned in the summer of 2020. We made this change with the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff in mind, based on the most current information from local and state health departments.

Aim High remains committed to supporting our community during these unprecedented times. Now more than ever, our students need the community, joy and the FUN that Aim High has offered for each of the last 34 years. We are fiercely committed to provide our students with the sense of belonging they need to develop the growth mindset that facilitates learning and sets them up for success in high school and beyond.

In the absence of the physical spaces for us to gather this summer, we are planning Aim High at Home, a place where we can connect virtually, build community and set our students up for success when school begins again. We look forward to sharing our plans over the next few weeks.

There are several ways you and your company can support Aim High RIGHT NOW as our distance learning plans take shape! Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Support Aim High’s future work now with a monthly or one-time gift.
  2. Double your donation by securing a matching gift from your employer.
  3. Send in-kind technology donations (Mac computers, ipads, chromebooks, hotspots, etc.) for summertime virtual learning. Reach out to Russell Gong, Director of IT at for more information.
  4. Support our Alumni with virtual career and college advice.
