At Aim High, we forge relationships with parents and guardians, and invite them to be partners in their child’s academic success. We see our role as equipping and empowering parents, many of whom are immigrants, with the resources to support their child on the path to academic success.
When students are accepted to Aim High, both children and their parents sign an agreement—that the child will attend every day of the summer program, and that their parents will attend our family nights.
We have three formal opportunities each summer for parents to engage with their child’s teachers:
- Family Orientation Night – held prior to each summer to familiarize parents with what to expect
- Futures Night – parents and students are welcome to this family education event highlighting high school and college choices
- Celebration Night – a fitting end to each summer, this expo highlights what students have learned and includes performances, speakers and award presentations
Our doors are always open for parents to visit, ask questions and be an advocate for their child’s academic future. We strive to support the families of both our middle school students and our alumni. Contact us for more information.
